Just once more I say, but it will always come back
Just once more I say, when it haunts me in the black
Just once more I say, as I try to push back.
Just once more I plead, when I am caught unaware,
It comes unnoticed from its lair
Only then does the pain of loss engulf me,
Only then does the memory seep into my heart
I wait
There it is,
As stygian as the sky
on a starless night
The curse that awaits me for eternity.
Dawn breaks the night,
Shattering the dark with an explosion of light.
And I know,
Memory shall haunt me forevermore
